Does the groom usually see the wedding dress before the day?

I know a lot of people still follow the tradition of not seeing each other on their wedding day until they walk down the aisle. But what about the wedding dress? Do most grooms at least see a picture of the dress, or is that a complete surprise too, for those following this tradition
