Too expensive wedding dress?

I found this dress I LOVE on Kleinfeld's web site. But it is way too expensive for me to even think about trying on - I don't want to fall in love with a dress I couldn't buy. So, does anybody know of any similar dresses? I love this dresses style, especially the cap sleeves, sheath shape, and the lace.

Well, yes, it’s lovely, but I wouldn’t buy a wedding gown online. There is nothing that compares with going to an actual bridal shop and touching the material, having a good look at the dress and trying it on. That way, you get a good idea of the quality. Sometimes, there are great sales too! Check the yellow pages of your phone book for addresses.

SHe wouldn’t buy a dress online.
Anyways, kleinfelds is fairly expensive. There are TONS of dresses that look like that other places.
Try a local bridal store. Or go to kleinfelds sales!

It would help if we knew your actual price range. But I do have a few suggestions. Keep in mind that almost anything from David’s can have sleeves added to it.

Yes, it is a very lovely dress. I would print it out and take it to other bridal shoppe to see if they have something similar and less expensive or you might want to get it made.
I have seen some dresses from Maggie Sottero that are lacy like this one and are absolutely beautiful. You can find these dresses between $500 and about $1,000. Here are the websites!

beautiful dress but here are some more affordable dresses that look similar to your expensive one. good luck and congrats.
I would suggest printing out that picture and taking it to your local bridal shop. Tell them your budget and tell them you are interested in a style like that dress.
Also, be open to trying on whatever they suggest at the bridal shop. It’s their job to help brides pick out the perfect dress and most reputable bridal shops know what they are doing.
When I was looking for my dress I was set on a halter style dress. The sales woman talked me into trying on a strapless Maggie Sottero dress (Jessica is the style name). I knew I didn’t want a strapless dress as I am a little on the busty side, but I tried it on anyway and it ended up being THE ONE!!! I am so happy with my dress and if it wasn’t for the saleswoman thinking it would look good on me, I would have never tried it on!
That would be a very simple dress to make. Even with very good lace it is going to be a lot less to make. Check out a bridal seamstress in your area.

I know I have seen a dress extremely similar to this, I just can not remember where. I will continue to look but, so far all I could find was this one by Justin Alexander. It is similar but, different.

Lazaro dresses tend to range from $1800-$5000.
A lot of people put their wedding dresses on e-bay because after all – you only wear ot once.
This one’s pretty similar – but the time is about to run out on it – it is one of the most similar one’s I’ve seen though.
